Sport in the region of Guernsey
Guernsey participates in the biennial Island Games, which it hosted in 1987 and 2003. Guernsey participates in its own right in the Commonwealth Games.

The Guernsey national football team is the official football team for the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which is not part of the United Kingdom but is a possession of the crown.
Since 1905, they have competed with Alderney and Jersey for the Muratti Vase.

The Corbet Field
The Corbet Field is a multi-use stadium in St Sampson, Guernsey. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home of the Guernsey national football team. The stadium was built in 1932 by Jurat Wilfred Corbet OBE who donated the land for such use.

Due to its proximity to England, and the major rugby nation of France, Guernsey rugby is amongst the oldest in the world, dating back to the mid 19th century. A number of schools play the sport, especially the private ones. Guernsey RUFC (GRUFC) was founded in 1928 and competes in the English leagues.

L'Ancresse Common racecourse
The racecourse on L'Ancresse Common was re-established in 2004, and races are held on most Bank Holidays, with competitors from Guernsey as well as Jersey, France and the UK participating.
